Wonder

Wonder Privacy Policy

Effective Date: September 15, 2026

Wonder is built around some of the most personal things people have: memories of their families.

We believe that deserves meaningful privacy protections.

Privacy at a Glance

Your memories are private. Wonder family spaces are not publicly discoverable.

We don’t sell your personal information.

We don’t show third-party advertising inside Wonder.

We don’t use your private family memories for targeted advertising.

We don’t use your private photos, videos, parent notes, kid quotes, or other memory content to train AI models unless you separately and explicitly choose to opt in to such use.

This Privacy Policy explains in more detail how Wonder collects, uses, shares, and protects information.

Wonder is operated by Alpine Labs Inc., a Colorado corporation (“Wonder,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

1. Information We Collect

The information we collect depends on how you use Wonder.

Account Information

When you create a Wonder account, we may collect information such as:

  • Name;

  • Email address;

  • Profile information;

  • Authentication information; and

  • Information provided through Sign in with Apple, Sign in with Google, or another supported authentication method.

If you use a third-party sign-in provider, we receive only information made available to Wonder through that authentication method and the permissions associated with it.

Wonder does not require a phone number to create an account.

Family and Child Profile Information

Users may create profiles for children and other family members.

Depending on what you choose to provide, this may include:

  • Name;

  • Date of birth or birthday;

  • Gender; and

  • Profile photo.

A child’s date of birth may be used to calculate and display their age and organize memories according to the child’s age or stage of life.

This information is provided by the parent, guardian, or other Wonder user. Wonder is not intended to collect this information directly from children under 13.

Memories

Wonder allows you to store private family memories, including:

  • Photos;

  • Videos;

  • Parent notes;

  • Kid quotes; and

  • Information associated with those memories.

We process this content to store, organize, display, protect, and provide the Wonder experience.

Media and Metadata

If you give Wonder permission to access photos or videos on your device, Wonder may process the media you choose or otherwise authorize Wonder to access.

Access to your photo library is controlled through your device and iOS permissions.

Media may contain or be associated with metadata such as creation date and other file information. Wonder may process relevant metadata to provide features such as chronological organization.

Wonder does not currently use facial recognition or biometric identification to identify people appearing in your photos or videos.

Location Information

You may associate general location information with memories.

Wonder does not currently use precise GPS tracking to geotag your activity through the Service. Where location information is used, it is intended to represent broad or user-provided location context rather than continuous or precise location tracking.

Family Invitations

When you invite someone to a Wonder family space, we may collect their email address to send, manage, and facilitate the invitation.

If the recipient does not accept the invitation or create an account, we retain invitation information only as long as reasonably necessary to facilitate and manage the invitation and for legitimate operational, security, or legal purposes.

Subscription Information

Wonder subscriptions are currently processed through Apple’s App Store.

We do not directly collect or store your credit or debit card information.

We may receive subscription-related information necessary to operate your subscription, such as:

  • Subscription status;

  • Selected product or plan;

  • Transaction identifiers;

  • Trial status;

  • Renewal or expiration status; and

  • Other subscription-management information.

Device, Usage, and Diagnostic Information

We may automatically collect information about how Wonder operates and is used, including:

  • IP address;

  • Device type;

  • Operating system;

  • App version;

  • Usage events;

  • Feature interactions;

  • Performance information;

  • Crash logs;

  • Diagnostic information; and

  • Security-related information.

We primarily use this information for analytics, debugging, security, performance monitoring, and product improvement rather than behavioral advertising or user profiling.

Website Information

When you visit our website, we may use cookies, pixels, SDKs, or similar technologies to understand website usage and measure the effectiveness of our marketing.

These technologies may include analytics and advertising-measurement services such as Google, Meta, TikTok, or similar platforms.

Website marketing technologies are separate from your private Wonder family memories. We do not provide your private photos, videos, notes, kid quotes, or family-space content to advertising platforms for targeted advertising.

Where required by law, we will provide appropriate choices or consent mechanisms for cookies and similar technologies.

  • Protect our users, children, Alpine Labs Inc., and others.

We may also use aggregated or de-identified information that can no longer reasonably identify an individual or family to understand usage trends, improve Wonder, and make business decisions.

3. Recaps and Automated Processing

Wonder may use automated technology to create monthly, yearly, or other recaps of memories.

Recaps are currently generated primarily using information such as dates, metadata, and the organization of memories rather than facial recognition or biometric identification.

We do not use private family memories to train AI or machine-learning models unless we separately ask for and receive your explicit permission.

4. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information.

We do not rent your personal information.

We do not share your private family memories with advertisers for targeted advertising.

We may share information in the following limited circumstances.

With Family Members You Choose

Information and memories stored in a family space may be available to users who have been invited to that family space.

Family-space owners may control membership and remove invited users.

Users with access may be able to view, contribute to, download, export, or share memories according to the features and permissions available through Wonder.

Service Providers

We use service providers to help operate Wonder.

Depending on our current technical infrastructure, these may include providers supporting:

  • Cloud infrastructure and data storage;

  • Authentication;

  • Subscription management;

  • Analytics;

  • Error monitoring and diagnostics;

  • Security;

  • Communications; and

  • Other technical operations.

Services we use or may use include technologies such as Apple, Google, RevenueCat, PostHog, Sentry, AWS, Supabase, Firebase, and similar providers, depending on Wonder’s production infrastructure.

These providers may process information only as necessary to perform services for Wonder and subject to applicable contractual and legal obligations.

Legal and Safety Reasons

We may preserve, use, or disclose information if we reasonably believe doing so is necessary to:

  • Comply with applicable law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request;

  • Protect the rights, safety, or property of users, children, Alpine Labs Inc., or others;

  • Investigate fraud, abuse, security incidents, or unauthorized activity;

  • Enforce our Terms; or

  • Fulfill legal reporting obligations.

If we become aware of child sexual exploitation or other circumstances requiring reporting or disclosure, we may preserve and disclose relevant information to appropriate authorities as required by law.

Business Transfers

If Alpine Labs Inc. is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, or similar business transaction, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

Any successor’s handling of personal information will remain subject to applicable law and the privacy commitments applicable to the transferred information.

5. Who Can Access Private Memories at Wonder

Access to private family content by Alpine Labs Inc. personnel is restricted.

Authorized employees, contractors, or service providers may access information only when reasonably necessary to:

  • Provide customer support;

  • Troubleshoot technical issues;

  • Maintain or secure the Service;

  • Investigate abuse or suspected violations;

  • Protect users or children; or

  • Comply with legal obligations.

We do not permit personnel to access private family memories simply out of curiosity or for unrelated purposes.

6. Push Notifications

If you opt in, Wonder may send push notifications such as:

  • Memory and family activity notifications;

  • Recap notifications;

  • Trial or subscription-related reminders;

  • Product engagement reminders; and

  • Other Wonder updates.

Push notifications are permission-based.

You can control or disable push notifications through your device settings.

7. Email Communications

We may send emails necessary to operate Wonder, including account, security, service, subscription, legal, and important product communications.

We may also introduce optional marketing or promotional emails.

Where applicable, you may unsubscribe from promotional emails. Opting out of marketing communications will not prevent us from sending necessary account, security, transactional, or service-related messages.

8. Children’s Privacy

Wonder is designed primarily for parents, guardians, and family members and is not directed to children under 13.

Users must be at least 13 to create their own Wonder account. Users under 18 must have permission from a parent or legal guardian.

Parents, guardians, and family members may create child profiles and upload memories involving children under 13. That information is provided to Wonder by the adult or eligible account holder rather than directly by the child.

Wonder does not knowingly permit children under 13 to create their own accounts or directly provide personal information through the Service.

If we learn that a child under 13 created an account or directly provided personal information to Wonder in circumstances requiring parental consent, we will take appropriate steps to delete the information and/or account.

Parents or guardians who believe a child under 13 has directly provided information to Wonder may contact us at hello@joinwonder.app.

Parents and family-space owners can also delete information about children using Wonder’s available deletion controls.

9. Data Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to:

  • Maintain accounts and family spaces;

  • Fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy;

  • Maintain security and prevent fraud;

  • Resolve disputes;

  • Enforce agreements; and

  • Meet legal or regulatory obligations.

Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information and why we process it.

10. Deleting Your Information

Wonder allows users to delete individual memories and delete their accounts from within the app.

When you delete a memory, we intend to remove it from active Wonder systems.

When you delete your account, we intend to delete the personal information and User Content associated with your account.

Deleted information may remain temporarily in encrypted or otherwise protected backups until those backups are overwritten or deleted through our normal retention processes.

We may retain limited information where required or reasonably necessary for legal obligations, fraud prevention, security, dispute resolution, or enforcement purposes.

11. Exporting Your Information

Wonder provides functionality that allows users to download or export memories and data.

You may also contact hello@joinwonder.app regarding applicable requests to access or obtain a copy of your personal information.

12. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information and private family content.

However, no application, storage system, transmission method, or internet service can guarantee absolute security.

You are also responsible for protecting your account credentials and controlling who you invite into your family spaces.

If you believe your account or information has been compromised, contact us at hello@joinwonder.app.

13. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal information.

These may include the right to:

  • Know or access personal information we hold about you;

14. U.S. State Privacy Rights

Residents of Colorado, California, and other U.S. states may have additional privacy rights under applicable state law.

Depending on the law that applies to Wonder and your request, these may include rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a portable copy of personal information.

Where applicable law provides additional rights or opt-out mechanisms, we will honor those requirements.

You may contact hello@joinwonder.app to exercise applicable rights.

Wonder is operated by Alpine Labs Inc. in the United States.

If you use Wonder from outside the United States, your information may be processed or stored in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate.

Privacy and data-protection laws in those locations may differ from the laws in your country.

Where applicable law requires a legal basis for processing personal information, we process information based on one or more appropriate grounds, which may include performing our agreement with you, pursuing legitimate interests, complying with legal obligations, and obtaining your consent.

Users in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and other applicable jurisdictions may have additional rights under local privacy laws.

Contact hello@joinwonder.app with questions or requests regarding these rights.

16. Third-Party Services

Wonder uses third-party services to help us operate the Service.

Those services may process information on our behalf and may maintain their own privacy policies and legal obligations.

If you intentionally export or share content from Wonder to another application or platform, that third party’s privacy practices may apply once the information leaves Wonder.

We may update this Privacy Policy as Wonder evolves or as legal, regulatory, technical, or operational requirements change.

If we make material changes, we may notify you through Wonder, by email, or through another reasonable method.
